Blue sea
With Hoy Sound so close to my studio, I often get distracted (in a good way!) by what the light outside is doing on the water and on the great bulk of Hoy. It's often said that here in Orkney we get all four seasons in one day and I certainly wouldn't dispute that. These paintings were made in response to the way the light shifts constantly over water and skies.
